Everyone’s Joy looks different, and Jing is here to guide you to yours.

About

I’ve felt out of place for most of my life. Growing up in Taiwan, I was labeled the “bad kid” because I spoke up often, didn’t fake my feelings to appease others, and said “no” whenever it meant saying yes to my heart.

When I moved to America at 18, earned a law degree, practiced as an attorney, and later became a mother, the same societal pressure remained. Instead of staying locked in the same dynamic where I felt like a victim of my circumstances, I got curious. I questioned what I needed to do to live a life that brings me joy.

For the past 15 years, I’ve dedicated myself to the path of yoga and developed a profound mindfulness practice along the way. These pursuits have helped me discover who I really am and what I need to do to live joyfully as my true self. In a world filled with loud, in-your-face opinions, I’ve found a way to remain authentic to myself.

Along my journey, it’s been my honor to coach others. This used to happen at random—in the line at the supermarket or while ordering coffee at a local cafe. People resonated with the advice I shared, but I didn’t have the means to provide more extensive coaching. I knew something had to change.

In the fall of 2023, I quit my “big-girl” job as a prosecutor and followed my true passion. The Practice of Joy was born from a long-held desire to help others navigate life with more joy and greater ease. I’ve now developed a methodology and a diverse toolkit of skills that empower me to assist people from all walks of life to discover who they are and how to follow their hearts with courage.

The best part is that I’ve finally found my place in the world. I’m still saying “yes” to my heart and following my joy, but now, I have the pleasure of guiding others to do the same.

Hi, I’m Jing.

Approach

Have you ever seen a beautiful pair of shoes that you really wanted to buy? Imagine the ones that caught your eye right away, that you loved immediately. You simply had to have them. They were expensive, though, so you saved up. You could hardly wait to put them on.

But when you finally purchased them, you quickly realized something was wrong. They don’t look the way you hoped or they proved to be incredibly uncomfortable. Perhaps they were lovely, but they don’t go with anything in your closet. Suddenly, the perfect pair of shoes just…….weren’t.

The same thing can happen with our happiness. Often, what we think we want is not what we need or want at all. Even after working hard to reach our initial destination-the one we think will result in happiness-we feel unfulfilled.

When you schedule a personalized coaching session, we’ll work together to figure out who you actually are, what you truly want and what you need to do to feel fulfilled. Ultimately, you’ll learn specific practices that empower you to practice joy in your everyday life.
